GUILTY as charged....well, kind of.

Ah, so the conclusion (at least we think so, for now) to a very dramatic display of a need for attention by a 'grown' woman is here...I think?
On August 9th Stacie went to court, for her pre-trial. The pre-trial was basically to submit all evidence, go over what was going to happen (if we were going to court etc.). All of the witnesses, family members and other people that submitted affidavits were waiting 'patiently' for this date, this was our judgment day, we were DYING to know what was going to happen and if we needed to start planning a vacation, I mean, an unwelcome trip to court ;). Anyways, Stacie went to court (we don't know if Roy was there or not) to defend her sorry ass. She had asked, a few weeks back, for a jury trial...LOLOLOL. This request is just so comical to me. I mean, did she really think that a jury of her 'peers' were going to be sympathetic towards her crazy ass? First of all, the only way they could find her 'peers' would be to visit the local insane asylum and pick out the craziest people, preferably the ones in solitary confinement with twitches, crazy thoughts, say crazy things, think they are consumed by the devil or are the devil themselves and that believe in revenge as the end all be all. Okay, I am done and yes, I feel better! Okay, back to my story...so she went to court and proceeded to ARGUE WITH THE JUDGE..she's kidding right? I mean who does that? Oh right, a crazy psycho wench, a role she fits perfectly! Well of course that didn't go over real well and apparently the judge had had it with her (shocking!). After a few minutes of this nonsense of her saying that she didn't do what she was accused of doing, that it was all false, this was about revenge etc. etc., the judge told her to be quiet and that he was done hearing from her. Surprisingly, she shut up (THIS. NEVER. HAPPENS.). Once she starts in on one of her anger filled rages, its all over, there is no stopping her, except, if maybe you are a judge. He proceeded to tell her that she would lose big time, no jury would sympathize with her, there was too much evidence against her and that no-one would believe that 6 witness statements and 5 affidavits that all said the same thing were just for revenge, especially when half of the statements were given by people that had never met her! GO JUDGE, GO JUDGE, GO JUDGE!!
He then told her that she could still go to a jury trial and they could try the case if she wanted, but that to do that, it would not be cheap for her. At this point, her attorney was handed the budget that Kristi (the victim) had come up with for all 6 witnesses for: food, car, gas, lodging, work compensation etc., which ended up being $2500 a person, to start out at...you do the math! *Now, all of us witnesses were hoping she would take the bait and have too much pride to not go to court. Past experience has told me that this would be the case. It unfortunately, was not the case :-(* She was then left with 3 options: plead guilty to the charges (resisting arrest, assault in the 3rd degree and possibly more if she was found to be lying); plead not guilty and go to court or plead no lo contendre (spelling?) which, from what I understand is comparable to a 'no contest' pleading which is basically the cheap way out of a judgment. Well, she chose the 'no contest.' We don't get to go to court and I don't get to be a part of her judicial roasting (you have no idea how much I wanted that, yes, that is not very christian of me, but if you suffered what my brother and I had growing up at the hands of this woman, you would want the same), we don't get to see her spend a ridiculous amount of money to defend her non existent pride and I don't get to see the look on Roy and her's face when that guilty verdict is read, however, she did not get away without nothing ;)

Stay tuned for more...until next time :)
